Project I: Columns, Columns, Columns!
The objective of this project was to make a 10 foot tall column out of pieces that reach a maximum of 6 inches. The Column also had to be mobile and needed to be photographed in two locations outside of the studio, one being outside.
Updates to the project included making a top that mimics the bottom of the column but can be suspended, painting the backs of the photographs to create a uniform bronze color, attaching all photographs with twine, introducing hand writing on the backs of some of the photographs as an exploration reward.

Make original "topper" using chip board and warped wood (Looked like this but with more "fan blade" wedges and it was gold)...

Photo of original topper not available. It fell before I got a picture.

- Professionally printed glossy photo error.
- Filter 128 photos bronze by hand
- Print 128 photos on flimsy copy paper
- cut out of copy paper 128 photos to assemble as tightly as possible on backing
(no plain white paper edges glued to watercolor paper) - back 128 photos with stiff water-color paper (stick glue + spray adhesive)
- Cut out 128 individual water color backed photos
Enjoy time spent taping flimsy copy paper+stiff watercolor paper photos together because they are heavier than professionally printed glossy photos and are not supported by mono-filament and hot glue. Run out of hot glue.
Switch to rope.

Somewhere along the line forgo the 6inch rule because it needed at the very least fabric-wise my NY scarf in the middle for visual interest.
Finish with a project I thought looked cool outside in the wind.

Celebrate the arrival of break because after spending time sitting down to document my process on my webpage, I remember why I was exhausted with it by the end.
